DentArthurDent and I used www.speedtest.net to check pings, downloads and upload speeds to various parts of the world.

his worst results:

Bamako 1630 ping dowload 0.12 upload 0.13
Windhoek 1762 ping download 1.29 upload 0.06

mine

Bamako 517 ping download 0.13 upload 0.45
windhoek 1409 ping download 2.75 upload 0.13

Lesson learned: These are not aspie friendly internets!
