Tvtropes is such a diabolical drug. You got on it and your day is lost, NO WAY you can get out of there. Still there is a mystery, why is it so engrossing

Still there is a mystery, why is it so engrossing They have done studies that show that monkeys will work harder to find out what's behind a trap door than they will for either food or sex. I imagine that we, as people, like to think we're a little more loving of knowledge than monkeys, don't we?
