Kdenlive is the application, and here is a lovely linux lady to explain it. She is very intelligent and a great spokes person for linux.

That looks quite similar to Adobe Premiere Pro. AWESOME editing programme. So glad there is a free version! GO LINUX!

She's also hot. That helps linux a lot too. ;)

kdenlive is ok, but it's buggy as hell and often randomly shuts down.
