When I click on a time in Works Calendar, I am getting a chime sound. It was not there before I downloaded and installed some Office Add-in: Office Sounds from Microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...0-457c733be290

I even did a system restore to take me back before installing the sounds.

I also went into Control Panel> Sounds> Sound tab and then cleared everything under Windows Calendar, but still getting the sound.

The sound is the same one as under "Windows" "default beep" under the Windows Default scheme. (if that helps)

I know it can be removed, because when I change the sound scheme to "none", the sound stops. But I want the other sounds.

It's probably not the solution you're looking for, but you could try a different calendar application. There are a number of excellent freebie ones out there.

copy the default beep.wav file. Name the copy to something else. set the default in windows too that. Delete the original beep.wav

Should work...
