Bigger screen, bigger hard drive, takes photos*, records audio, takes videos, plays videos, has FM radio...

*EDIT: Oops, I just learned it cannot take pictures which seems a little ridiculous... Maybe they'll try to put it in some kind of update you have to pay for?

It's nice to see the iPod is finally getting a lens and all, but you KNOW alot of that stuff could have been added earlier. It seems Apple just always wants to have something new up it's sleeve to give the iPod when sales start to droop, even if it's something seemily fundamental, like the new lens and access to FM radio. My guess is Apples next move is to add internal bluetooth for things like wireless syncing, and connecting to radios and tv's without using cables or a transmitting dongle. Or maybe even a search option where you could hum or sing a song into a mic to have voice recognition software use that sample to search for and find similar sounding songs (which could also be used to create playlists of similar sounding songs). This is why I plan to continue using my current iPod for as long as possible, until it either breaks beyond repair (I've already had to replace it's battery and headphone jack myself) or Apple stops supporting it to the point where it's incompatible with iTunes or most other software.

By the way, wouldn't it seem like a better idea to put the lens more towards the top rather than the bottom? For me, it seems like anyway I would try to hold that would cover it up.

I've been waiting for a year or more now for cameras in iPods and iPhones. I've read several stories about why Apple had problems getting the camera and required hardware/firmware integrated into the devices, but who knows?

But I'm still waiting for an iPod Touch with a camera and Bluetooth, plus a few other features such as holographic projection, piezoelectric charging, and voice recognition/synthesis.

If you to take pictures, buy a camera. You can take better pictures with that. With a lens that is ten time larger, you've got one hundred times more light.

Whoa, did these just come out? I bought a new nano last year and it can't record anything or play radio.

Why would the new iPod nano has a fm tuner? Most people who listen to music online don't listen to radio.

I try to avoid radio for the following reasons:
1.They rarely broadcast local music.
2. They play only singles.
3. They keep playing those singles over and over and over.

It's soooo pretty! But really, who needs a junky camera on a device which was originally designed for listening to music?!
I bet it can take photos! Silly Apple will probably do to the nano users what they did to the iPod touch 2 Gen users and charge for an upgrade (the bluetooth incident)

I hate Nanos. Are there really people who lack music so much they can fit it all on a nano? It´s pretty much designed for stereotypical teenage girls. The camera for myspace pics. The lack of storage for only the latest singles played over and over again on the radio. Again, an FM tuner to listen to said singles played over and over.
