Hi, I bought a SIIG sound card, and installed it in the PCI slot (although I had to remove that metal strip so it would fit.) Then I ran the CD, installed the driver, restarted the computer, but I still can't get sound. I probably should uninstall and remove the first sound card, but because the pci slot it's plugged into is so darn close to the bottom, I can't fit an L-shaped screw driver in there and remove it. I don't even know if it's supposed to come out- it came with the computer.

Also, on the front of the box, its says it fits "low profile" and "standard height" chassis. Any help, lovies?

If you carefully and evenly pull it up (after removing the screw, of course) it will come right up. just be careful grabbing onto anything 'removable' (capacitors, resistors, etc) when you pull up.

that being said, have you tried contacting the sound card vendor? Usually they'll have a tech support department that can help. Also, you may have to specify your sound card as the sound source in your operating system.

Hope that helps.

Thank you. I thought Pakleds were dumb. My assistant manager looks like a Pakled, btw.
