Sounds kind of like the bell-jar in the Department of Mysteries in the Harry Potter Series. [http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Bell_jar]

Then again, is an infinite life worth living if you do not know you are living it?

A jellyfish doesn't have a brain or nervous system. It could as easily 'know' infinity as 'feel' infinity.

Actually, that's only half true. Jellyfish and other cnidarians don't have brains, but they do have simple nervous systems (which are basically decentralized nerve nets).

What combination of stimuli would make a jellyfish feel infinity?

Unless I am much mistaken, this thread is not a jellyfish.
