micron transport vlx won't turn on

Hey I got micron transport vlx from one of my teachers it looks fine but it won't turn on even when pluged in any suggestions?

Possibly, check that the battery is properly connected. Some laptops verify the battery is there before booting. Also, is there any power indicator on the power supply?

Yes it does. I got it to come on for 1 sec but then it went back off

Well, unfortunately, I have two possibilities for you. Either the system board is dying (my Dell Inspiron 600m needs pressure in just the right spot to boot) or you have a system that uses the battery to stabilize the power supply, and have a bad battery.
