Do you have an eReader? I have a Kindle 3 (graphite, free 3G + Wi-Fi) and I like it very much. Do you have any eReaders? What are your thoughts on eReaders?

On the rare occasion that I do read an ebook, I just download a PDF file to my computer.

I use my iPod Touch with iBooks, importing epubs via iTunes. I would never use a standalone reader and don't think they'll last very long in the market.

You may not know it, but the e-reader market is booming. It might not take over paper books, but it's going to last at least another 10 years.

iPad? An e-reader? Pshaw! Get a Kindle 3 for $139 or 189 and you'll see what I mean.

My iPad works perfectly as an e-reader, and price is no longer relevant since I already have it and it was a kind gift anyway :D

I hate to tell you this (well, no I don't), but a recent survey was completed and it found that people who prefer iPad over Kindle for books have a 15% lower IQ, are over 60% more succeptible to ads, have less money and make less money than Kindle owners, and read much less. You are another victim of the SD-RDF phenomenon. If you like books, then please get a Kindle 3.

Can you do marking with your pdf reader (i.e. software simulated underling or high lighting)?

You can do that, and more, with the new Kindle 3 for $139.
