Specialist; brains
Where can I go to find a specialist on the brain? Basically cognition, but also someone who knows a lot about brain cells. I'm basically looking for answers on some of my questions. Like, if someone "overcharges" his brains, like mentally pushes himself to do something that requires intense intelligence or brain power, would it make him more likely to get better at that particular skill? Would brain cells die?
I also read that whenever someone learns a new skill, the structure of the brain changes and the tissues connect. Is this true? And how would one be able to accelerate this process?
My 1st post here and I'm kind of tired so I'm sorry if these questions are silly
The second part of your message is true. This reformation of the brain "map". The brain is made up of relay nurounes. Yes, if you train your brain you will getter better at the skill you are training at because the brain is like a muscle in the respect. that the more you exercise it the better it gets. You might find the book: how th mind can heal the body interesting.

Taking a class in neurology might be helpful for you. The specialist yopu are thinking of is a neurology/neuroscience professor. If there aren't schools in your area maybe there is an online course.
Yes. In fact, elderly people are advised to do this since it has been shown to slow the loss of brain power that happens with age. But there's no need to wait until you are elderly to benefit. You benefit at any age.
no
Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice the new skill or use the new knowledge (such as speaking a foreign language), the more firmly the new connections are made.

Not silly at all. Perfectly reasonable.
