There are rumors that Microsoft gave Attachmate the money to buy Novell. I'm predicting we will see another series of lawsuits against Linux. This time MS will pay Attachmate to sue Red Hat,as well as possibly Google, Oracle, and a few other Linux-making companies. Think I'm wrong? Just wait. It'll happen.

Whether or not the lawsuits happen, Linux is safe. I highly doubt any of the UNIX patents are applicable against GNU/Linux, since GNU/Linux was coded from the ground up and shares zero lines of code with the old proprietary Unices.

Besides, Attachmate vs Red Hat and Google? They ain't gonna win that fight.

I'm sure MS has leverage on Attachmate(isnt that an ironic name?) and that they'll use that to their advantage. I am not so sure it will do them any good.
