Try using ndiswrapper - it allows you to use the native Windows drivers under Linux.
Basics: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/43752/ho ... s-drivers/
You may need to grab ndiswrapper (I don't think it's installed by default).
lspci should show it as a Broadcom 4312 chipset and a quick search on that seems to indicate you may need to grab some firmware too.

The Windows one... But I went and 'apt-get remove plasma-netbook' and it uninstalled my Plasma Desktop too.
So, I did another install so I have not tried it fully.
But I made a connection under the emulation (Windows Driver one) one and it made a successful connection.
Thanks :D

What wifi card does it use? I would be surprised if ndiswrapper is actually still necessary, since even Broadcom has Linux-native drivers now.
