a problem i have with youtube

more like the people on it.

i know i can't change anything about youtube, but i want to see if anyone else agrees.

i hate it when i search for gameplay videos, and i find a video i like. one was a xenosaga 3 erde kasier boss battle. he seemed to know what he was doing and seemed like he was a decent xenosaga player.

and almost every comment was like this "your skills suck don't post unless your an expert" well that's not exact but it was what they were all generally saying.

i think they are forgetting what youtube was made for.

personally i like watching videos of all different levels of skill. actually some gameplays are more entertaining to watch if the player's character dies a few hundred times [i wanna be the guy]. really unless you are making a tutorial it shouldn't have to be perfect. like videos of minecraft are more entertaining if the player makes a few mistakes. it's also fun to watch someone blow through a whole game in record time. [goldeneye 64 speedruns are amazing] and it's cool to see someone play a game with perfection and they leave you wondering [how is that possible].

I think that might be everyone's problem with YouTube. I'm not entirely sure why, but YouTube comments that are intelligent and kind are incredibly rare, even for the Internet.

I agree with you. That's why I either moderate or block comments on most of my videos.

I don't even read the comments half of them are cursing each other god!

yep they even start fights that have nothing to do with the video, i read the comments out of blatant curiosity.

yeah I used to scroll down to see what people had to say about the videos and most of the time they would be fighting about something else... so I gave up reading the comments

I hate it when people comment like that, especially when I'm on youtube to find hidden components in a game I own (for example: Ratchet and Clank Future trilogy: I haven't found every single gold and platinum bolt).

I will watch a video on Carl Sagan. I scroll down to the comments, and I almost always see a religious person who was offended because Carl Sagan exhibited healthy skepticism of deities. That or they are trollin'.

Some youtube comments are absolutely brilliant too especially the ones with video game music. There was one comment on "One Winged Angel" from Kingdom Hearts II that translated the hymns into their misinterpretation lyrics.

There are some good ones. Why don't we post the good ones on here and the bad ones?

there are some good comments, i like the comments posted on top ten videos. they give you an incite on the person's prefences their likes and dislikes.

there is a video of allen's stand in xenosaga 3 and alot of the comments were so true.

Kevin is every self obessessed, angst ridden anime character ever combined into one pretty little face, and damn I enjoyed watching his ego get a good firm kicking.

this one is so true it's almost pathetic.

Arrogance, or Devotion? One man see's Shion as a means to please himself. The other is utterly devoted, placing her happiness even above his own.
