VIRGIN MOBILE?????
I'd like to get a phone plan for my 13 year old. I heard that Virgin Mobile has a NO CONTRACT plan for $25/month with 300 talk minutes, unlimited text, unlimited e-mail, and web. Does anyone have experience with this? How is their coverage in Northeast and Midatlantic area U.S.A. ? (Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint Network). ALSO, how good are their phones?
Check Sprints Coverage Map from what I know Virgin Mobile uses Sprint 3G Towers and also no contract is Prepaid and Sprints Towers are set to were Prepaid are not the top priority the actual Sprint Customers are in the tower. I will tell you no matter were you are your experience will differ and as long as you are not in a Rural area you should be good. If this is your 13 year Old first Phone prepaid is the way to go because if he uses up all his minutes he just can't do Voice but he will still have Text and Web.
Side note:
I don't have VM Phone only a Datacard for Home internet and were I live so are MANY other people and it bogs down the the tower on internet were is goes like Dial-up or ISDN. I am waiting for something better to come to my area like 4G then I will be dumping VM for my main internet.
