Link to article below:

Is Our Brain as Good as It Gets?

I don't know much about the brain so I'll assume this article's accurate. I wonder if there are any people here that have an argument against this.

Wouldn't that make child-birth more painful? Perhaps we need to make childbirth easier along the way.

Yeah, because humans are most definitely the final product of evolution and everything  More human arrogance; I love it. There are no final frontiers.

Certainly not for more than 99,99% of individuals. There is some peoples with brains way more efficient that "normal".

To be honest, I'm a bit jealous of them.

Odd article.

It's not a matter of more hardware, but of better use.

At best, the average human only uses 10% of the brain's potential. If our brains, even if areas are segregated by general function, operated in the 80% range of capacity, we'd be capable of much more.

that has been shown to be an urban tale.

linkage

it is true that the use is more important as it actually shows people with extreme cognitive abilities activate their brain less than your average person.

Wow. This article negates itself with its own title.

The "goal" is not to grow more neurons, but to more efficiently compartmentalize the existing processing ability by offloading work to external intelligence processors. i.e. You don't have to read endless numbers encyclopedia articles to become smarter; you just have a cell phone with access to Google.
