Hey guys.
I really really need help with After Effects CS5.
Im making a HUD for my video on After Effects CS5 with the shape tool.
But, when I go to transform the size of the shape it does not stay still. It moves whatever axises Im trying to stretch. This is not a problem really. But I REALLY need this one shape layer to be in one particular place or it will look out of place. Its really stupid.
Please help me.

I know this rubbish feature would help some people, but certainly not me.
They should have a option to do that inbuilt on the GUI.

So, wait... Is it not scaling properly when you try to transform it, or is it letting you drag it all over the screen when you click on it?

Sorry, I did not explain that very well.
I meant, if I resized the Z side of the shape it would move on the Z axis as I resized it.
Who on earth would want that stupid feature, god knows.

So, it's actually doing both at the same time?

I'm only sort of familiar with After Effects, having only taken one introductory class to it, but you might want to check what functions you have enabled, and what hotkeys restrict transformation parameters.

I know, that's really vague, but I can't remember all the little details of the interface, contextual to certain situations.
