for tube tube geeks here: is this the book I need?
http://www.amazon.com/Handbook-Electron ... 546&sr=8-1
the above book is by fred rosebury but I already own a copy of: Handbook of materials and techniques for vacuum devices" how ever I suspect this would help more with assembly of Vacuum tubes..my question is this: if I needed a book showing the forming process of the envelopes, grids, plates and the overall mechanical assembly & formation of vacuum tubes would the Fred Rosebury book be what I want or should I buy a copy of Ludwell Sibley's Tube lore? granted I know SOME of the process of tube manufacture but how to properly calculate and wind grids, the spacing mica die design and other facets are not to clear to me..neither is the process as to how shoulder type tubes where made. Where they( the shoulder tubes characteristically shaped glass envelope) spun/ or molded?
( if anyone else here knows this or what I am asking I'll be happier than a pauper with a winning lotto ticket)
already have a flash drive copy of Pete millet's technical tube books but the more info I have the better tubes I can ( eventually ) make..
thank you for reading this and I hope to hear from someone( ...this could be a hail Mary post)
