And when you re-burn the hydrogen you will get less energy than was needed to produce the "de-ionized" water in the first place. This thing is a looser without a mizoozer.

I agree, the thing is a bad idea as more energy is required to make the hydrogen than is contained by the hydrogen made. You would be better off using the petrol or diesel fuel to run your car directly rather than using it to make electric power to run the H2 generation machine.,

What you need to think about is the efficency from oil well to wheel rather than a single part of the system.

The best use I can think of the H2 generator is for providing fuel or carrier gas for a gas chromatography machine

unless you use green energy then it would indeed pollute more than a regular car (maybe not arent power plants vastly more efficient than simple internal combustion engines in cars?)

They are in so many ways. And depending on how the energy is produced it's cheaper and more efficient still. But there's other issues, like charge time, and I think if everyone was on the grid charging their electric cars it could overwhelm it. Considering a lot of power is wasted at night from the power stations however, it might actually be a better idea.

I could see a future where filling stations will have warehouses full of charged battery tubes that can be installed within minutes. Charge them at night, use them during the day. It would certainly remove the need to ship gasoline all over the nation by truck.
