Windows 7 saves you 2 hours during daylight savings time?

I don't know what's up with this, but I'm more curious than anything, because the issue was easy to fix, simply by setting the laptop's click ahead another hour. What I want to know is why Windows 7 decided to set itself back two hours instead of just one? I know better than to set the clocks on computers, because they do all this themselves. I didn't touch the phone either and it was fine. Why would windows fall back 2 hours?

Did you set the timezone correctly for your area?

Computers don't update the clocks themselves, the operating system does this instead. Otherwise the time would be the same for a long time

It was set for eastern like it was when i set it up the first time.

Same thing happened to me. I just suspected I did something wrong.

My win7 netbook did just fine. I don't think I've had my laptop or desktop up since the change. Guess I should fire them up and see how they cope.
