Hey!
I have found an iPod Classic on eBay for a bargin. I want to purchase it, the issue is its a firewire one. my iMac isn't Firewire 400, its Firewire 800.
So, what to do?
Also, there is ingraving on the back, so I will have to buy a new back plate and replace the one thats currently on it (I know a place where I can get this backplate from).
3 Power PC macs which I could use for iTunes with the iPod. What do you think?
The reason I want this iPod Classic is because my current iPod Touch is acting up on me.
Why would I buy an iPod Classic so old? Because I love collecting vintage Apple stuff.

You can get 400-to-800 adapters for fairly cheap ("cheap" being relative, of course). Try monoprice dot com. As for the engraving, it might be possible to sand/polish it away....
