Why does Facebook have to make things so complicated?

Ok so I hate facebook, but i need it to talk to all my friends. During the Holidays I changed my Facebook name to something Christmas related and now I can't change it back. The only way I can fix this is to either DELETE MY WHOLE ACCOUNT AND MAKE A NEW ONE AND THEN ADD ALL MY OLD FRIENDS, or make a scan of my birth certificate, which I CAN'T DO! I'm so pissed off it's insane. All I want to do is to change my name back to my real name.

I agree this seems questionable. I would be concerned about a potential phishing scam
