Hey guys, I am a real fan of building and modding PC's why dont we post pictures of our battlestations ! !!

I'll start, this is mine and xCarlax's Battlestation. I am obsessed with my PC and will disassemble it, just so I can assemble it again. I just love to figure out new ways to make the insides of the PC look better, or for the cables to be neater, its just so calming and relaxing for me, is anyone else like this ?

Oh, here's the pictures:

Here is a picture of my monitors, my display resolution is 5890X1080, this achieves the "Wrap around" effect, that makes it look like one big screen, minus the bezels .... grr.

When you live at home and your parents take care of all the bills you're free to buy stuff like that, but once you leave the nest you won't have the money to keep feeding your enthusiasm; well, not unless you want to sacrifice things like food and toilet paper. What I'm saying is enjoy it while you can because at some point it will become too expensive.

I'm an enthusiast, but I lack funding. I have two decent, worth mentioning main computers, as well as one laptop running linux mint. I only keep windows around for gaming.

At my Dad's House:
Athlon II x4 2.6 Ghz
4GB 1600Mhz Kingston DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 5850 1GB
ATX ASRock Motherboard, I no longer have the box and thus don't have the model number
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue 7200RPM SATA II HDD
Logysis 480 Watt Power Supply
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

At my Mom's House:
Athlon II x2 2.8 Ghz
4GB 1066Mhz PSY DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB
Zotac MicroATX Motherboard
375 Watt Logysis Power Supply
500GB Hitachi "Deathstar" 7200RPM SATA II HDD
Linux Mint 64 Bit, Gnome Desktop

The dual core somehow gets better performance(Even when running windows) than the quad core, which is especially strange since the per core caching is the same. Unfortunately pictures will not be possible, because my phone camera does not have a flash, and you can't really see anything on my desk without one. Fortunately my other hobbies do not include all that heavy of gaming, or anything else requiring excessive computing power.

Very impressive!

I take things to the other extreme, and I am just as avid about it! My favorite computer is my first one, an old IBM flattop with 64mb of RAM (max), an extra cooling fan and an upgraded processor running Windows 95 at 95mhz ... and it will soon have a Diamond Viper 2MB VLB Video card as its final upgrade.

But again, you really do have a nice setup there!

I don't understand why PCs need flashy blue lights.

If you are not fortunate enough to have an old, falling apart case that is held together with duct tape, you need something to cover with duct tape. :D

Bloody hell. Are the cables inside your machine wireless!?
I must say, your cabling is very very very very very very very very very very very very neat, I wish I could do that.
Yeah, I like reassembling my built systems.
Although, I have been doing that with a netbook lately hahaha.

they run behind the backboard but they are indeed done very nicely.

how well does your gfx cope with crossfire, any bugs or glitching, in the first generations MSAA would create artfacts over crossfire.

i have a single and i might get me another one to match my new i7.

I used to get obsessed with making all the wires/cables nice and neat and "crispy" when building MCC/VFD panels and control stations. I absolutely adore wiring things--the more complicated and intricate, the better. :D

PS

The insides of your computer are beautiful!

I don't get why there are negative comments here. Some people are jealous of your hardware by the looks of it

That is a very nice machine, you're right to be proud of your work. What OS is it running? Does it dual-boot?
