How do you copy paste images on a mac (or printscreen)

I google searched how to do it and I just can't figure it out. I just want to copy paste an image into a word document. I know I have done it before, frustrating.

Printscreen:
cmd(Apple button or whatever people call it)+shift + 4 = Then you'll have to select the area, you want to take a screenshot of.
cmd+shift + 3 = This will take a screenshot of the whole screen.

To copy something = cmd + c and to paste cmd + v :D

You can hold ctrl down and click on the picture and then choose copy photo.
