I can't get my video card to show up.

I think my new monitor only does an analogue to DVI conversion. I set it up to DVI and the whole monitor pretty much stopped working altogether. I managed to get it working in safe mode briefly, but when I reset it it went back again. It's now on, and is booted but still doesn't see any video card whatsoever. It's not showing up in Device Manager and I've tried installing it to no avail.

My basic question is: have I buggered my video card up?

I don't know what you're talking about with the beginning of your post, but if a PCI device is installed and not showing up in device manager, it either means the device isn't seated properly in the slot or it's hosed.

give as many details as you can about the system (and current video) as well as the new card, I'll guide you.

Is your video card electrically kaput. If the V sub CC pin is fried you won't see it.
