So, I finally broke down and got the keyboard/dock for my Asus Transformer...

My T-former has always been great for playing, but now I want to WORK with it too.

Basically, I need a robust word processor and at least the ability to edit powerpoint and excel...

Most of the free/cheap stuff I've tried (like polaris office) are pretty lame.

I don't mind spending money, but I need something built for a tablet with close to the power of MS office.

Any suggestions?

Kingston Office (free) is pretty full featured. I use it mainly for the Word section of it.

Hey thanks for the tip!! !! !! !

So, I really like free. I just downloaded the app to give it a try. I can say, it is much better than Polaris for sure. I'll have to learn a bit about formatting and see how documents look when I import them to MS Word for polishing... but for a free app (with over 1 million downloads) this is pretty good.

I was looking at QuickOffice Pro HD, but it has a lot of negative reviews for a $20.00 app.

This is definitely worth a nice long try.....

I use Documents To Go for "office" compatible software. It's available on the Google market but the only reason I use that particular one is it came free on the cheap tablet I bought last September. The current price on the market is $14.99USD and it's a decent suite but I wouldn't pay for it if I had to.

I shall take a look at these. I'm waiting to see if LibreOffice will release an Android version. I probably won't use an office suite on my phone much. I supposed the Writer app, would be nice for taking down notes and whatnot.
