I may be making a bit of a stretch, but Alexa (clicky) shows that a number of sites like Google have started to decline rapidly. What do you think? I notice that this is the lowest Google has gone in two years.

I mean the internet splits people apart further and has led to the decline of music so I think I've had enough. People can't spend the rest of eternity on it.

Without this Internet, a lot more people might never even learn about Asperger's in trying to figure out why they're so different from others.

Google is failing because it's gotten too big for its own good. When it first came out, it was much simpler and straight forward than other search engines...no ads on the main page, no scrolling, no "directory" lists that used to be standard with other search engines.

Now, it's trying too hard to "googlize" searches, as well as users. I can see backlash as being inevitable.

The internet's actually how I learned about Asperger's

I don't want the internet gone as a whole but I think people use it way more than they should (I mean I know for sure when I get into something too much)

The day that Google bought youtube the internet died!! Google has been trying to control everything we do. I absolutely HATE being signed into my android account while browsing because of the data Google collects on you. Makes me want to write a "bye bye american pie" version for the internet "bye bye the internet died."

The meaning of the OP with respect to Google isn't clear. Neither is how the Internet has ruined music.

I don't think I've ever heard any songs from any of those artists, I just see people complaining about them or using them as a meme on the Internet.

I need the I-net. I don't have long distance phone service, but can email relatives far away on the cheap.

As for Google, they have become too controlling, intrusive, and invasive of privacy. I had a home page account with Google for several years. I also have home pages with several other sites. Some months back, I found out Google was making some changes that would have had them collecting data on all my web surfing done through my home page on their site. I spent some time over a couple of weeks finding out the RSS codes of most of the modules on my Google pages, so I could get those modules on my other main home page site. Once I finished updating my other main site I deleted my Google pages and my account. There were several modules that I couldn't find the RSS codes for or that were Google in house products, that I had to lose, but it was worth it, to keep Google from spying on me, and from sharing data about me with advertisers. I get too many ad cookies as it is.

I am not the only one who dumped Google after they made those changes. They published what they were going to do, and I read articles about it, and the comments in the online articles indicated that a lot of other people were planning on dumping Google because of the new changes.

I don't even use Google as my search engine because they track users. There are plenty of alternative search engines out there. I use, and like, Ixquick, which doesn't track users, as my main search engine. Another non tracker is Scroogle. Some other search engines I've tried are Dogpile, Mamma, About.com, and eHow.com. There are many others out there. Just do a search on search engines to find plenty of them. some are general search engines, and some are subject or topic based.

There have always been crappy artists - Buffy Sainte-Marie for example. The Internet didn't do anything to change that.

There was actually a scientific study recently that proved chord progressions have gotten more repetitive and boring over the years. I don't think the Internet affected this though.
