Using windows 8 computer with windows 7 phone?

Hey

I'm struggling to find information about how windows 7 phones and windows 8 computers work together. How do you sync, what are the limitations? Is it possible to open the phone on the computer to manage it? etc.

Any help very much appreciated :)

I have a Windows 7 phone with Vista. You plug it into your computer with the USB it comes with and you can manage the phone through Zune.

There has been some confusion on Windows 8 but supposedly you can still use Zune.
