For Christmas, I am going to getting a 3D Animation Program called Animation Master. I have been reading reviews for years on this software and have it is very comparable to some of the high-end 3D programs such as Maya and Lightwave. On Hash's website, there is a lot impressive images created with the program. Has anyone here had any experience using Animation Master and how did you like it.

My dad played around with it. He liked it. I think he was too busy working to get too deep into it though. I'm not sure how intense the level of detail can be (don't expect to be able to churn out Pixar-quality stuff), but it's great for beginners.

If you want a good 3D animation/rendering application... take a look at Blender. Its a completely free program (open source), and is excellent for creating games, as well as 3D animation. Just look at the gallery on their site:

As for animation master, I've never heard of it.

Hey report back about Animation: Master! :D I'm planning on buying it to ($300).
I been using povray and various modeling programs to try to make some animations.
(I've done some simple lame ones). But I was very impressed by the demo video
on http://www.hash.com/products/am.asp Seem like it would remove 90% of the work from the way I curently am doing animations so i could get something non-lame
done.

No it was nice. Hey Animation Master has now got a feature that will allow lips sinking
from a sound file(I guess thats what the demo said). I see you can upgrade old version to the 2007 version for $100.
