intel mothborad dp67ba ram issue

the ram i got:
komputerbay 8gb ddr3 1333mhz x4

iv'e checked on a few websites and the ram should work but i get a 3 beep ram error code when i turn the computer on.
i tested the stick one by one but the same issue still there.


please help.

Your ram does match your MB, so that's not a problem. The 3 beep error code is a Base 64K RAM failure. I'm guessing (and hoping) that when you handle the RAM chips or any internal parts you've already grounded yourself to the chassis to prevent static buildup. I'm also guessing (and hoping) that you don't touch any of the exposed metal parts of the chips. That said, it would seem like you have RAM chip failure. Kinda hard to imagine considering you bought all 4 new, right? Can you return them and get 4 new ones?

looking into it, it looks like i need to do a bios update for 8gb to work good

i'm using a antistatic wristband attaced to the radioator

Half of the issue is it's a mystery brand. Those always go south real quick I have noticed. You would be better off spending a little extra and getting something from Gskill or Crucial. Either way, it's most likely came D.O.A. and you should get a R.M.A.

Crucial costs less
last time i used Crucial it went wong so fast it did not even turn rhe computer on.
