It's a cool idea. But it's really nothing more then a next generation Beagle Bone. With it's $100 price tag. I would not want to be doing hardware experiments with it. What if you have an ESD event or accidentally put 12 volts on one of the I/O pins. Then you're out $100. Replacing the Atmil chip on an Ardunio only cost $3. I would rather have an Ardunio plugged into a raspberry pi then to use this.
