I cannot tell you, it's merely a poll :-Z~

If ya went to a store like Best Buy, you'd see all of these. Which would you buy?

This is a 2 horse race that excludes DVD as it's now getting very old and will therefore be superseded by one of the others. IMO, BluRay will ultimately win because it's a superior technology and because it's backers are more likely to succeed in making the technology mainstream than HD-DVD's backers. The Playstation 3 will give BluRay a huge push.

HD DVD seems to be more forgiving in adaptability

Ya, it has a connection with a company that is becoming unreliable and faulty and trashy!

The bluray will perish and here's my theory as to why:
- XBox is microsoft and has a lot of push behind it. Its cheaper and easier to work with
- Sony is a trashy company releasing crap, lately - I went through 3 PS2's and know of at least 3 more (I dont know many people) that had theirs go as well.
- Sony is releasing PS3 (which developers are stating, in regards to the processor, is a pain in the ass to work with) for a 10 year shelf life. TEN years!! Thats saying that todays technology will not change for the better in TEN years! Hey Sony! A ten year old computer aint worth s**t today! What in the hell chance do you think your system will be good for?
- XBox will release a new system in 5 years and Nintendo may, as well. It'll have ALL the technology acquired within the next 5 years which will mean it will be better then PS3.

I can walk into a store in Calgary and pick up a PS3.. They did NOT sell out here.

Even if Sony is the new God, you have to take into account that XBox can potentially swipe 50-100% of the market in 5 years if its the only system to be released (I assume Nintendo will be doing the same, and if they do, Sony is done like the Dreamcast - good run though). Of course, just my opinion/thoughts

I was just reading some tech info on yahoo and came across this:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070116/tc_ ... mes_ps3_dc

PS3's are still in stock in more then half the stores while Wii's are not

Yes, this is good. PS3 is way to expensive, 600 dollars it like a mortgage payment or rent, it's ridiculious. I will get a Wii once I buy a newer TV that's pretty and thin :-Z~

I chose XBox so I could play my friends back home..

The Wii, my friend found that you can do most of the activity (like throwing a ball) simply by flicking his wrist.. now he does that.. he thinks he is a genious but he fails to understand that the whole concept of the Wii was to make you active and more involved.. he might as well buy something where he just has to hit a button, again..

The Porn industry is backing HD-DVD.

HD is going to win.

BluRay. Dual-layer discs can go upto 50GB. Equivalent HD-DVDs can hold only 30GB.
However, Sony are working on 8 layer 200GB discs.
