For some types of games yes. RTSs are way better on PC as do at least I think FPSs are (though they are getting alot better on consoles I still prefer using the mouse to aim: quick, efficent, easy). Though for sports games consoles are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better (same with racing for the most part), single-player RPGs/adventure games are either or (I don't play MMORPGs, too expensive, but thats another PC genre), and thats most of the kinds of games I play, so yeah it mainly depends on what genre it is.

I play EverQuest 2 (and some EQ1 and Star Wars Galaxies) online with my PC. Most of the other games I play are console. I don't like FPS and prefer either driving games or adventure/puzzle games like Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy.

Playing in EQ2 (an MMORPG) has really been therapeutic for me, so much so that it pulled me out of a severe (read: nearly terminal) depression. Because you only interact through text and actions, I was able not only to fit in, but to thrive in the community, and gained many in-game friends. I was promoted to officer within the guild, and counted on as a useful team member. I had much better success in the online world than in Real Life, and became the persona of my character, which spilled over into my real life and gave me the confidence I found myself otherwise lacking.

Yes, it is even better than Mac Gaming! Even though Apple has better graphics: Windows has a better selection.

I have played these games:

Civilization IV

Command and Conquer: First Decade

Guild Wars

Age of Empires III

Oh.

Crysis has great grafx and hopefully great gameplay.

Might get flight sim x,though it'll be a lag fest with even a 8600U or 8800GTS 320,unless dx 10 fixes it.

Yup, although if you're willing to make big compromises on the detail settings you can run FSX even on my rig at about 10 - 15 FPS. It still looks good, but nowhere near it's full potential. Would love to see FSX running in all it's glory at 60 FPS (Excuse me a minute while I borrow IBM's Bluegene Supercomputer). :D

Supercomputers aren't meant for gaming,so you'll get 15 FPS at best.
