It isn't necessary to be an Aspie to be skilled with computers.

The Imac came out in 1998, which makes it 15 years old, not 27 years old. --Still though, what's the point of putting a computer from 1986 on the internet besides saying that it can be accomplished?

Sure you can do this, but can you really do anything with it once you have accplished this?

George Mallory is famously quoted as having replied to the question "Why do you want to climb Mount Everest?" with the retort "Because it's there", which has been called "the most famous three words in mountaineering".

Why connect an iMac to the Internet?

Because it's there.

Or the various means that amateur radio operators use to send and receive Morse Code with their laptops.

That's a Mac Plus, not an iMac. ;) Trust me, I know a few things about vintage Macs, and despite finding modern Macs to be merely overpriced PCs in shiny cases, I have an appreciation for the older, pre-x86 Macs.

I do too, as they were special. A few models of the LC Family Macs could be fitted with a card that could allow the computer to run Apple II, II+, and IIe/IIc software.
