I open a new browser that has google as home page
Type in my search
And lots of screens open one after the other
Blank screens
Only stops opening screens after I close the browser
The pop up screens need to be closed individually

Have run Bullguard scan
Have run Spybot
Have run CCleaner
None of them seems to find anything wrong

Tried Google again
And it still does the same
Tried US, UK and Google Belgium
Makes no difference

Changed my home page to Duckduckgo
Seems to have solved the problem
What is up with Google :?

Running on windows 7 btw

From my vantage point (Mac OS 10.9.2 Mavericks, Chrome, Safari) Google is operating normally.

It definitely sounds like a problem with your browser or malware. CCleaner won't get rid of any malware on your computer. You need to run some proper anti-virus software scans.

1) Delete all of your cookies.

2) Clear your browser cache.

3) Head for the following URL and then use the screens to delete ALL stored flash data.

and I agree with the others that you might have a virus problem, make sure that your virus definitions are up to date.

Got live virus protection but ran a full scan anyway
Not that it found anything beyond a cookie it felt the need to delete.
And a few dodgy registry entries that it fixed

Had a look in the quarantine section
and there's loads of trojans in there
forgot the name now but looked it up
and its' one that disables your virus protection

Am very happy with Bullguard and have been for years.
Was recomended to me by an guy that used to work for EA

Google seems itself again too
Oh well,
Another one of those weird experiences
that probably never will be explained.

I'm a bit of an e-diot really
so even though I might sounds like I know what I'm talking about
I don't really
And I'm long happy all seems fine for now

Bought this computer and it got Chrome on it but I never use it.
No reason beyond my pedantic refusal to register with Google

Would like another Mac though
got a little one upstairs but we got no screen for it
And been told I can't put a pc screen on it.

maybe one day
When the car is paid off
