A friend of mine is looking for a tablet. He says he wants something he can surf the internet on and draw on. He wants to use it to draw fanart and post it directly to the internet. He's good at drawing with pen and pencil.

The only thing that came to my mind was a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet.

Anybody else have any other ideas?

The Hybrid does look like another suggestion.

Thanks!

You can do all that that on a Kindle Fire HD -- I'm posting from mine right now. There are numerous drawing and sketching apps available, some of them look pretty impressive and versatile.

I'd suggest the largest tablet you can get. Viewing pages on small tablets can be awful - needing to scroll horizontally and vertically to read text is a major drag.

That occurred to me to suggest just getting a Kindle Fire or an iPad and downloading an app, but all the reviews I read about those seemed to indicate that a tablet specifically built with drawing and surfing in mind would be a better choice. Pen/pencil artists seemed to have a problem with the pressure sensitivity, or rather lack thereof when drawing. It is just a hobby for him, but he is really good at drawing on paper.

So would I, but he wants it so he has something fun to play around with when travelling on a plane, while on vacation, or just on the go.
