Gametap has a lot of classic games.

But you play them on a PC, not the original console.

I don't like Gametap because it costs money that I wish not to spend.

Good point! But the number of games they have is astonishing .

I buy this for my son instead of giving him an allowance, so I end up saving money in the long run.

I would like to play one again sometime, mine broke many years ago.

Is a gametap a piece of hardware?

I've got an old Atari ST, which I think still works. It takes up too much space so I downloaded an emulator and a bunch of ROMs for it from littlegreendesktop, I even found an emulator that runs in Linux.

I haven't played Atari games since 1988.
