Yeah I hate it and pdf files in general.

You could try http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader ... reader.htm

I had it installed in the past. It still had problems but not as bad as adobe.

I tend to refuse to look at pdf at all cost. I remeber in the old 486 processor days I could type faster than a pdf would render on my screen :(

I had this problem too. It seemed to happen because the AA software wanted to install updates. The problem does not occur if, instead of looking at PDF's online, I download them onto my hard disk (by right-clicking the link and choosing "save target as" instead of "open"), then go offline and then look at the PDF's.

I'm glad I don't have to put up with it, OSX has built in PDF reading and writing.

Even more annoying than pdf files, is when a web sites does not tell you you are clicking on a pdf and you have to wait for the lame pdf plugin to load it. That is very bad web site design you sould tell someone that it is a pdf file so someone can download it and look at it locally. And not hide it behind a nondirect link it sould be foramtted like this http://www.lamepdf.info/crap/annoyingturkey.pdf

lol. If you can't stand a program switch. I don't mind adobe personally but the PDF file isn't going to go away any time soon. Find a different PDF reader (there are plenty out there).
