An excuse to listen to Mahna Mahna is good! I like the payload fairings, they make the rocket look much nicer (and will be more aerodynamic once KSP gets a decent aerodynamic model (or if you use FAR or NEAR)). Got some useful science done and safely returned your payload which is good.

As I understand it, SRBs aren't a great choice to use above the first stage due to their low Isp (and therefore high weight) but I have never checked how true this is. I suppose their low cost is a point in their favour though.

Nice vid, good to see others on here are into the game, I've been addicted to it for years now.

Hopefully I can inspire you with this:

And SRB's are best used in conjunction with your first stage, they're too heavy to be efficient once you've lugged them up a few kilometers.

Good to see someone else who likes KSP.

I've played it over the years, built many things that did not reach orbit, but the first time i did reach orbit, i was like "YESSS!! !!". A space station and some interplanetary missions followed. I like the Interstellar mod which adds some new technologies to the tech tree and yes, the warpdrive is awesome! I'm also a fan of Orbiter Sim, so when KSP came out i was overjoyed!

Last time i played i were building SSTOs (Single Stage to Orbit) spaceplanes, here is one of the later models that could take payloads with it.
