Why all Samsung Galaxy since S3 don't have radio?
I bought Samsung Galaxy S3 last year in November, i always dreamed to have Galaxy or Iphone, but i cannot afford so always buying budget model.
Last year i saved some money and my mobile contract was ending, my operator the Orange organized sale of Glaxy S3 LTE at discount price for all who want sign mobile contract with them or prolong existing one.
So i decided to buy it, i used in past Nokia 5230 and Sony Xperja J (the xperja J was crappiest phone i ever had) but both have FM Radio i wonder why Galaxy S3 don't have it!
To cut costs.
Samsung like the other OEMs are trying to cut costs on features, which very little if any one uses.
Samsung's newest phones the S6, remove numerous features including the SD card slot and removable battery.
Though to be fair the other Android OEMs are following suit in order to stop the bleeding.
Or I'll put it to you this way... Samsung Mobile division made $2.6B selling mainly Android phones, tablets, and smartwatches, which is down from $5.9B the previous year.

Samsung is the biggest phone and tablet maker in the world, they account for over 60%+ of the all the Android devices built and sold in the world.
They also make 95%+ of the all profits generated from selling Android devices, while the rest of the Android OEMs struggle to break even.
The only other phone and tablet maker in the world to generate a profit from their mobile devices is Apple which made almost $13B (mostly of iPhone, iPad, iPod, and Watch), while Samsung as a whole made $5.6B (in part due to the currency issues).
The differences are Samsung has higher CoGs, BoM, buys non in-house parts on monthly basis (Apple buys the whole product lot of non in-house parts at once, which makes it cheaper), spends more on advertising than Apple, and lastly Samsung is forced to subsidize their mobile products at a high rate in order to undercut everyone in price).
At full retail price nearly all smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches are similar in price including Apple and Samsung.
TL;DR version: features that add significant costs to products that every few people actually use, get the axe.
