Urggh!
So I bought a 4-pack for Macrium Reflect backup software for home, and a three pack at work. Could use a fourth at work now, but could also just use a bootable CD from one of the three on the fourth.
Curious, I wanted to ask on the forum how did I get a 4-pack for home, and a 3-pack for work. While trying to find an area to post, I found somebody asking a question I knew the answer to. OK, I will answer, then post my question.
Only it wouldn't take the logon and password I saved in LastPass. Will, gosh, some times the "newline" gets copied by me by mistake, just pay attention. Nope. Try a third time, nope.
Turns out, Macrium went from v5 to v6, and if you didn't upgrade, THEY DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT ON THEIR FORUM. (They don't delete the info on your old versions).
Nice! What a bunch of butt heads. I can understand wanting to make money, I can understand not wanting to support the old version, but not allowing anybody with the old version on the forum? WTF? I thought the whole point of a forum is maybe another user can answer the question instead of an employee.
Now I ask, do you think that is more likely or less likely to get me to buy the new version? Wonder how Easeus (sp?) handles these issues.
