Windows 10 to launch 'this summer' with free upgrades even for pirated copies

I disliked the whole behind WIN 8 with a passion and expected it to do poorly, but this is evidence it was worse then I expected

Windows 8 was a Nagasaki explosion of awful. I'm done with Microsoft and Windows.

I am using a Surface Pro 3 running Windows 8 and, while I look forward to Windows 10, Windows 8 bothers me not in the least.

It is a bit different using it than using Windows 7 or OS X Yosemite on my other machines.... but I like the Surface and windows 8 doesn't get in the way.

And so it begins. I got a Windows Icon on my taskbar asking me to get a "reservation" for the rollout which is now scheduled to start July 29.

Part of me wants to download it to "play" with it.
My first thought upon seeing the Icon was it is malware. Even though it seems legit the other part of me fears Windows 10 itself is program/driver breaking malware.

The taskbar icon really annoyed me when it suddenly appeared.
I had to uninstall the update to get rid of it on startup.
