I was prompted to post this in response to something I mentioned in another thread. I find the idea of procedural 3D graphics fascinating, and would like to explore writing code for it. My laptop unfortunately, like many of those not specifically made for gaming, has integrated graphics by Intel. I have noticed that many websites with embedded 3D graphics content, particularly advanced shaders, fail to load properly, and I'm virtually sure that my poor GPU is the problem.

I wanted to ask some people here who know about GPU technology what is the minimum specifications of GPU I would need to be able to run content with modern shaders comfortably. Like for instance this page:
