Ok so today I got a notebook from my brother which has Linux based ubantu installed so if anybody uses Linux or ubantu could somebody give me some pointers on general keyboard shortcuts for the GUI.
Also does anybody know of any sites where I can dl screen savers for Linux?
Thanks

All Linux distros thatuse the Debian Package Management are in the repositories. Open Synaptic,or whatever Ubuntu might be using these days for software management and do a search for screensavers.
Secondly many of the keyboard shortcuts with Linux Desktop Environments are much the same as they are with windows. I have no idea of what Desktop environment that you are using with Ubuntu, but I will assume that you are using the standard issue Unity Desktop. This will probably answer your questions with Unity Desktop Keyboard Shortcuts.

One more question how do I go about changing the admin name right now I have the PC labeled at Com_1 (remote) however it still lists my brother's name under Com_1 name I've tried renaming the user file located in home using another admin account but am unable to do that same goes for deleting the file. Since I'm new to Linux I'm unsure on how to go about doing such things.
Advice?

Are you trying to change the computer's hostname, the User account name, or something else?
If you want to change the user account name, login as root, save all the files in the /home driectory, including hidden files to a backup directory of some sort that is NOT in the /home directory, such as a backup drive of some sort, delete the user account, and create a new user account with admin privileges with a name of your choosing.
Instead of asking about this stuff here, you may want to consider joining the Ubuntu forums, and before posting your questions on their forums, use the 'search' function on their forums as no doubt many people on their forums have asked and recieved help on what you are trying to accomplish. --Although many many of the Debian based distros are quite similar, there are variations depending on the distribution, and the versions of those distributions to make resolving your specific issues a dodgy thing at best without having the intimate familiarity of either Ubuntu, and whatever particular issues you may have a dodgy thing at best, and perhaps harmful to the stability of your system at worst.
I personally have been using Debian Stable since 2011, and three subsequent versions of that distro, and even though the revisions are minor between those releases, the issues of conflicting dependancies are significant enough to cause problems should I appy solutions for one version on another version of that same distribution.
Another thing you may want to consider doing is downloading the ISO file for the current Ubuntu LTS release, making a bootable USB key, backing up any information that you may already have on the system, and doing a fresh install from the USB key. -- Make sure though, that the bootable USB functions by booting it to the live desktop environment and installing it onto the system via the live desktop.
