What version & what hardware, please?
Hey Edenthiel, this is kinda deja vu, seems I remember trouble shooting with you before. Its on my slightly older but still usable Desktop and here are the specs and I'll also share what I have found out since OP.
Linux Kernel 4.4.5.1
AMD Phenom II X4 970 Processor
M4A87TD Motherboard
8 GB DDR3 Ram (Corsair vengeance)
Nvidia GTX 760 2 GB
Corsair CX750 ATX Power Supply
1 TB Hard Drive
So I have found some post that hint around at this being an issue with the newer kernels and I have three other system that I just did a clean install on as well and I haven't tested any suspend or hibernating feature on these other systems. Let me get back with you after some testing but it appears that a possible solution is to use linux-lts from the AUR. That is the only thing I have found that could solve the issue so let me downgrade my kernel and see what my other computers do when trying to suspend / hibernating. You are welcome to google a solution but I do have something to work with and I'll post back in a bit.
