David Attenborough turned 90 yesterday. The BBC are commemorating with a series of programs.

If you don't know how he is you might of heard of the Director Richard Attenborough of Ghandi fame. He is his brother.

I can't think of a person who has done more to educate multiple generations, on the natrual world.

Although he didn't initially start out as a naturalist he has more than earned his colours.

Along with Chris Packham (also on the spectrum) he is a favourate of mine.

Any fans here?

We won't see his like again. The full extent of his contribution to our understanding of the natural world will probably only be appreciated once he's gone.

But he encourages folks to believe in all of that evolooshun stuff!! !! !! !

[just kidding]

My sis is a photographer, and back in the 80's she worked at a environmental summit conference. She boasted that she got to meet heads of state and members of British Royal family.Apparently I was unphased. But when she mentioned that she meet David Attenborough I got excited. The next day she got me an autographed book by him, and told me that he was "visibly flattered when I told him my brother was a big fan".
