how to make a message board

i was thinking on making a flash version of this wesite and submitting it to the person in charge (alex i think), along with having a version similar to this one. What would i use to do that? We would have both versions be updated when you posted on 1 of them. one would just be updated automatically (so you dont have to hit refresh all the time.) can anybody help me?

Sorry why do you want to do that? What do you want to do? There are various products on adobe.com
You would use action script and various other things. If you are familiar with SWF/CWF file format you can also create flash files dynamically. Are you saying it would run off the current site?

I think AJAX would work a lot better for what you’re suggesting, flash is overkill. It is really up to alex whether he is interested but you wouldn't really need create anything that doesn't already exist, just customise.

what benefit would a flash board have?

simple, you wouldn't have to refresh constantly AND you can preview the message just by scrolling over it. I have seen other sites with it, and its great!

Unless you know about AJAX, XML, and server side scripting I wouldn't bother trying to do it yourself.
