I had a friend that I fell out with a few years ago but now I'm over it and I want to make up. I don't see her around but I know she's on Facebook and I've sent her a friend request a couple of times only to be rejected. Then I replied to a comment she wrote on one of my friend's statuses (who is also a friend of hers), and now she's blocked me. I knew before that it was obvious she still doesn't like me but I was just showing that I was willing to be friends again.

But anyway, sometimes I worry that she might think I'm capable of hacking into her Facebook account, which I will not, A, because I hate hackers, B, I wouldn't want to do that anyway, and C, I don't know how to. But so many people get their Facebook accounts hacked, so I was thinking what if she happens to get her Facebook hacked into by someone and she thinks that someone is me? Can you track down the hacker (if you can then she's welcome to because it won't be me). If this happens if there any way to prove it isn't me?

I do often get anxious about being accused of things I haven't done and then not getting believed.

Generally, sites like facebook, and even wrongplanet, can (and do) track IP addresses. If their account were to be hacked, there should be a log of the IP addresses that accessed their account. Their IP would be one of them, since it's their account. The other(s) would be the hacker, and if none of them are yours, then it wasn't you, full stop. An IP is very specific, to the point where it can identify where it comes from, down to a county or city. So if you live in Georgia (for example), and the hacker's IP says they were from Ukraine, then it wasn't you, full stop. Since you're on facebook too, they already know your IP as well. If she did accuse you, facebook would investigate, and see that you didn't, and everything would be ok.

Tl;dr - you should be fine, there are usually very easy ways to prove whether it was or wasn't you.

But what if someone was to create another Facebook account and hack her one with it? Or what if a hacker is also from Essex?

Whoever created the other facebook account would still have their own IP address, and it would still point to them. Even if the hacker was in essex, they would still have a different specific IP than you. Facebook talks to the local ISP, and the ISP gives them the exact location of the IP they provide service to. It comes back as not-you. You're still ok.
