Internet Explorer Crashing in an Emulator?
I have noticed at work that whenever Internet explorer crashes, it locks up the computer and create problems the same thing happens with network problems too.
I wonder what would happen if Internet explorer crashes if it was running on Emulator or virtual machine. I assume that nothing would happen, however, because it has access to the internet it could create a small problem.
I know that if the software did not have access to the Internet, it could not possibly crash the system.
For example I used to play emulated games for the Saga Magadrive on a pc. Assuming that the Emulator is written by good programmers and the bugs are fix well, do you think you could create a badly written magadrive rom that could crash the emulator that in turn crash the computer?

First off what platform/OS are you using? I had no problems on the rare occaisions that I used IE with XOverOffice (WINE Implementation) on RedHat 9 a few years ago.
If you're using a *NIX type OS, you may be able to Kill the PS, and start over again w/o having to reboot.
If you're using Windows however, I would suggest that switch to a differant Browser. Opera and Firefox are both good choices, though I generally prefer Opera. If the browser starts to hang, you can always hit CRTL+ALT+DEL to pull up the windows tast manager and end Process that way, in which you can restart the browser and pick up the browser session exactly where you were when you forced the browser to quit.
Because IE is an integral part of Windows, on the other hand, you will have issues when it hangs. IE is also much more susceptible to security breaches due to the fact that most people who use windows also use IE, therefore it is the target for most malware and other forms of attack.
Try using another browser. I only use IE on the very rare occaisions when I need to use it.
