since i've written a book i thought it would be important if i had my own website, does anyone know of a free webhosting site i could use? please?

if you have dreamweaver i would recommend on angelfire... I used dreamweaver to directly upload my page from there to angelfire's servers

ok, did it generate a folder with HTML files and JPGs, GIFs, PNGs?

if yes, you'll need to create an account in a site that allows you to upload files, like
Google Pages
http://pages.google.com/-/about.html
also Geocities or Tripod allow that

and upload the files there.

Geocities and Tripod also allow it, but insert lots of ads
