Best non-security browser extension
I have several browsers on my Win 7 PC. I never use IE as I don't care for it. I mostly used Firefox. At one point I had problems with it, so I switched to using it's relative, SeaMonkey, for a while. Eventually I switched back to Firefox for a while, but several months ago I had problems with it again, so I switched to Chrome. That has been working well for me for the most part. While configuring it I came across this really great browser extension--OneTab. I've always had a problem with too many tabs on the browser bar, which slows down, and eventually crashes whatever browser I am using, so this was a real find. With OneTab, you can store your open tabs in a kind of off browser closet, and they don't slow down the browser while they are in there, but they are ready when you need them. You can keep them there as long as you like, as OneTab saves your stored tabs when you close the browser, or shut down the computer. You can make tab groups in there, and give the groups names, and move tabs between groups. You can also store and/or lock groups. This is absolutely the best non-security related extension I've ever used. I found out that they have it for Firefox too, so I added it to Firefox, even though I'm not using that browser for now.
Besides, IE, Chrome, Firefox, & SeaMonkey, I also have the Comodo browser, which came as part of a bundle of security apps, but I don't use that one. I've considered getting one that I think is called WaterFox, that a relative recommended. It's related to Firefox, but it will probably be a while before I do that, if at all.
Remember, get the OneTab extension for your browser if you can, to tame the tabs!

My favorite browser extension so far has been NoScript. It blocks a lot of those Javascript heavy ads on most web pages so my laptop stays at a reasonable temperature when browsing the web. I'm not against advertising, but when it gets so intrusive that it slaps videos in your face and gets in the way of the actual content you're trying to view, then it's bad. I guess it could also improve security, but scripts aren't really much of a threat unless the website is trying to do XSS attacks or something.
